David S. S. Davis

David is a transplant from Owensboro, Kentucky and has been a Chicago resident for twenty five years. Holding BFA degrees in Design and Theatre, it seemed logical for him to develop a passion for theatrical set design. He has designed for many theatres in the Chicago area, earning several Joseph Jefferson nominations. I love an empty room or space, knowing that it can take on any appearance from the ground up. This is mirrored in the way I approach my clients, reflecting their personalities in the project at hand. Some of his projects of interest were providing vintage Veeco pieces for the Broadway premiere of Steel Magnolias as well as pieces for the films, Barbershop and Barbershop 2. Currently he is designing a production of The Diary of Anne Frank for the Princeton, Indiana Community Theatre.

David enjoys working in a collaborative format. His enthusiasm is often contagious, and its easy to see why he has been with the Veeco team for more than seventeen years.
