Joe Ryan is the newest member of Veeco Manufacturing's staff of professional beauty salon designers.

Joe's first experience with design occurred in his father's machine shop. The incredibly talented tool and die maker was always tinkering. At 13 Joe could read blueprints, run a lathe and operate a milling machine. He built his first motorcycle out of three crates of old parts. "I worried my mother when I outfitted my go-cart with a snowmobile engine, dad sold it before it was complete.", says Ryan.

After graduating from University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in Industrial Design, Joe designed bicycles and set up a manufacturing facility for the Chicago Bicycle Company. He later produced custom furniture and boutique lighting, store fixtures for Ready Metal Manufacturing and OK Works in Chicago. The versitile Ryan also  created a re-branding program for the Vail Mountain Coffee and Tea Company which helped them dramtically increase their sales and. founded a virtual tour and internet consulting business in the web crazed 90's.
